QUICK USE GUIDE:
Slot 1: Open scissors & place in slot 1. Using suitable pressure clamp the blade sharpener & pull scissors towards you 2-3 times until desired sharpness is achieved.
Slot 2:For blunt knives only, NOT suitable for ceramic blades. Use slight downward pressure pull the blade from heel to tip. Move in ONE DIRECTION. Do not push & pull in both directions. Repeat 3 times, once every six months or as required.
Slot 3: For daily use. Lightly pull the knife blade through slot 3 from heel to tip in ONE DIRECTION ONLY. Repeat 2 or 3 times until sharpened.
Slot 4: Finish with this step. Removes burrs from re-edging & rough honing process. Without applying pressure run the blade 5-7 times from heel to tip.
NOTES OF CAUTION:
NOT suitable for serrated blades
Use a pull back direction only
Slot 2 is not suitable for ceramic blades. Use slots 3 & 4
The rod on the sharpener can blacken with use which is normal
Do not put in dishwasher or submerge in water

After use, place sharpener on its side & gently knock any metal shavings from the sharpening blades. Use a brush or damp cloth to finish.
